Training & Mobility
A core mechanism of REVIVE is the intersectoral and international exchange of staff through structured secondments across academic, industrial and regulatory partners. By immersing researchers in different sectors and countries, the programme builds skills, accelerates innovation and strengthens long-term cooperation between academia and industry.
How secondments work
Each host institution prepares the ground before a secondee arrives, so they are productive from their first week.
Full access to host laboratories, licensed modelling software and specimen banks needed for the assigned task.
A desk, high-speed connectivity and data-handling systems from day one.
Local support with accommodation, transport, orientation, and family or childcare needs where required.
Direct supervision from work-package leads and task coordinators throughout the placement.
Open by default
Training events — the summer schools, workshops and hackathon — target at least 40% participation from women and early-career researchers, with fee waivers to lower entry barriers for underrepresented groups. Course materials, recorded lectures and datasets are released under open-access principles, extending REVIVE's reach beyond the consortium.
